Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers

This course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognise several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and relive choking in a timely and effective manner. This course is intended for certified or non-certified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals. The following topics are covered:

  • CPR for Adults, children and infants
  • Use of an AED
  • Relief of Choking
  • Use of Bag-Valve Masks (BVM’s) and CPR pocket masks

Intended Audience
Healthcare providers such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, EMT’s, physical and occupational therapists, medical or nursing students, dentists, nursing assistants and other allied health personnel.

Skills assessment and written MCQ exam

Recertification: Course must be repeated every 2 years
