Schools, Sports Clubs & Voluntary Groups need lifesaving equipment but can’t because of the imposed value added tax. Government claim that he cannot address this issue under EU rules. Mobile fone recycling initiative, to raise awareness of Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY). Setup by Heartsafety Solutions as part of its on-going commitment to reducing the impact of cardiac emergencies on society. Promoting the need for defibrillators in public places. In association with The Cormac McAnallen Charity. Schools, sports clubs, community groups & businesses are being equipped with lifesaving defibrillators, training & aed storage.

Run by Irish company Heartsafety Solutions, it gives a lifesaving defibrillator to schools, clubs and community groups in exchange for 250 old mobile phones for recycling. AED Storage & Training is offered for a few extra phones

The GAA launched a nationwide initiative to help clubs tackle the phenomenon of Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndrome. The GAA has purchased high-quality Automated External Defibrillators (AED), one of provided at every county ground for on-site use by trained county personnel.
