CFR – Advanced

PHECC-certified this course is designed for rescuers who have a medical background like fire/rescue personnel or healthcare providers. While PHECC recommends CFR Community certification for those wanting to maintain competence in advanced skills.

The CFR-Advanced programme suits those individuals who come from healthcare facilities including fire rescue personnel. Within these PHECC certified content include, assessing patients as well as identifying signs of heart attacks, strokes and cardiac arrests and performing CPR. Participants will also learn how to apply Automated External Defibrillator (AED), deal with choking cases and use advanced airway management techniques like oropharyngeal (OPA) airways plus supraglottic (SGA).

Course Content:

  • Patient Assessment
  • Recognition of Heart Attack, Stroke, and Cardiac Arrest
  • Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  • Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Using a Bag-Valve Mask (BVM)
  • Using supraglottic (SGA) and oropharyngeal (OPA) airways
  • Choking
  • Safe administration of Aspirin and Oxygen

Our trainers are experienced professionals who provide practical theoretical instruction that ensures participants grasp the idea of advanced cardiac first response. This training encompasses practical sessions that enable learners to perfect their skills in controlled environments. This approach renders them confident enough to offer such emergency care that is life-saving in actual situations.

It will equip participants with the skills to respond effectively to cardiac emergencies including those necessitating advanced airway methods once they complete CFR Advanced training. Rescuers would benefit from this course because it involves patient safety standards.
