CFR – Advanced
This Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) certified course is aimed at rescuers who have a medical background, such as fire/ rescue personnel or healthcare providers. If there is a concern about maintaining competency in all the required CFR advanced levels skills (in particular airway management and bag-valve-mask) PHECC recommends that such individuals certify in CFR Community.
Each student receives a handout and CPR mask.
Content
- Patient Assessment
- Recognition of Heart Attack, Stroke and Cardiac Arrest
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Using a Bag-Valve Mask (BVM)
- Using supraglottic (SGA) and oropharyngeal (OPA) airways
- Choking
- Safe administration of Aspirin and Oxygen
