A new vintage phone box mounted Limerick Milk Market Defibrillator (AED) has been installed in the Milk Market by a project team from Stryker Limerick. The phone box, which protects the AED from the elements, is a highly visible land mark in the event of an emergency and pays homage to an important piece of Irish heritage within the historic market that dates back hundreds of years and comes just in time for the busy Christmas period.

David Fitzgerald, General Manager of Limerick Milk Market, said, “The Limerick Milk Market is delighted to receive the early Christmas present of potentially lifesaving equipment with the Limerick Milk Market Defibrillator that will be housed in a perfectly restored vintage phone box at the Milk Market, kindly supported by Stryker Limerick. We are very grateful for the generosity and community spirit demonstrated by the team at Stryker who have delivered the project along with all the supports and infrastructure from start to finish for which we cannot thank them enough for this vital support!”.
