Longford Man Saved by Heartsine Defibrillator

Dave | Nov 26 2019 | 2 min read | Life Saved

In May 2019, Longford man Joe Farrell was resuscitated by one of our Heartsine PAD350P defibrillators, following a cardiac arrest at home. As part of our ‘Forward Hearts’ programme, Joe received a free defibrillator to donate to an organisation of his choice. Last weekend (23rd Nov) Joe was delighted to hand over the Heartsine PD350P to Caroline Macken of the Stonepark Comunity Group.

Following his resuscitation, Joe had an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) fitted in St James Hospital in Dublin and was discharged home a couple of weeks later. “I am very luck that an AED was close to my home” remarked Joe. “We hope that someday this AED will save a life”.
